kmxexii Music spoke to femmepop and gave voice to her feelings as well as a way to voice them herself. She sings against the boundaries that patriarchal capitalism places upon women in "Circle" and "Man's World". "Big Sky Blue" speaks to how the structural enforcement of grinding jobs also costs our personal relationships. When listening to this album - especially "Falling Down" - I think about my daughters and whether there is any true Opportunity in adhering to capitalist-defined roles to survive. Favorite track: Man's World.
